About

Welcome to my website!

I am Elle Walasavage and I currently attend Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA. I am a NCAA DIII athlete, take part in many on campus clubs and organizations, and am looking to build my skills as a communications student.

Schooling

I earned my high school diploma from Blue Mountain High School in 2024. Throughout my high school years, I earned a 4.0 GPA, served as Varsity Softball Team Captain, performed in musical ensembles including drama club and show choir, and was the secretary of our student council. I also participated in a variety of school clubs, such as Aevidum and Prom Planning Committee, and was a member of National Honor Society, Phi Sigma Language Honors Society, and History Honors Society.

I currently am a sophomore broadcasting major and marketing minor at Susquehanna University. At SU I am an active member of the softball team, sing in the University Chorale, and participate in on campus voice lessons. I also participate in the Sports Department of our WQSU Radio Station and serve as the Event Coordinator for our Association for Women in Sports Media chapter.

Work

I currently work as a hostess, server, and beverage cart attendant at the Schuylkill Country Club in Orwigsburg, PA. In these positions I help to oversee cash transactions, manage seating arrangements, prepare beverages, and communicate effectively to provide an enjoyable experience for all members.

This past year, I began working for T-102 Radio in Pottsville, PA. At T-102 I worked as the side line reporter for Pottsville Area High School’s football team where I traveled to home and away games interviewing coaches, connecting with players, and delivering real-time game insights. Here, I was able to learn about the process of producing on-air content in a professional broadcasting setting. With T-102 I also helped to broadcast local high school softball games including the PIAA 3A State Championship at Penn State, analyzing player performance, game strategies, and providing timely coverage from a collegiate player perspective.

In the future, my dream would be to work for an NFL team either as a side line reporter or behind the scenes in a communications or marketing role. I love entertainment, performing, working with others, and being a part of a team. I hope to use my skills I withhold and am gaining at Susquehanna to continue perusing my passions.

Hobbies

In my free time, I love to spend time with friends, play sports, listen to music, and travel. My favorite hobbies include playing guitar, singing, and going to the gym. At Susquehanna, there are many ways to take part in some of these hobbies. Going on walks by the river is my favorite thing to do, since it is only a couple blocks from campus. Here, students can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Selinsgrove area while staying active. My friends and I also love to try new coffee shops and restaurants nearby. One of our favorites right near campus, Wagging Tail, has an abundance of coffee selections and fruit bowls that you can easily create. It is a very cozy area for students looking to study, meet up with others, or simply enjoy great drinks.

Overall, I love connecting with others whether its through the arts, athletics, or in my classes. I am proud to be involved in many areas of campus that allow me to meet students from various walks of life. I can’t wait to explore more of what Susquehanna has to offer!
